Nothing is on sale anywhere in the Kingston borough for bonfire night 2026. The Kingsmeadow display closed in 2024, and Tolworth's has not been announced.

Bonfire night 2026 falls on Thursday 5 November. As of 5 September, no fireworks display anywhere in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames has a date, a venue or a ticket on sale.

That is not an oversight on our part. We checked every organiser that has run a display in the borough in the past five years, and we checked the ticketing systems they sell through. The results are below, along with the three displays just over the boundary that do have confirmed 2026 dates and prices.

The town-wide display closed in 2024, and it is not coming back quietly

For 32 years the borough’s big display was the Kingston Round Table and Kingston Rotary show at the Weir Archer Athletics Stadium on Kingsmeadow, Kingston Road, KT1 3PB.

The organisers cancelled it. Their own website carried the notice: “It is with great sadness that Kingston Rotary & Kingston Round Table clubs are announcing that we will not be able to run the annual Fireworks Display at the Kingston Weir Archer Athletics Stadium on in November 2024.” They blamed “the more stringent regulations covering crowd safety issues, the demands from key stakeholders, the lack of support from the Borough Safety Advisory Group and the Police South West Events Team”, and said the event had run since 1992 and given “at least £200,000” to local charities including Kingston Foodbank, Kingston Samaritans and Voices of Hope.

Since then the trail has gone cold in a way that is hard to read as anything other than permanent:

  • kingstonfireworks.co.uk no longer resolves. A DNS lookup on 5 September 2026 returns SERVFAIL. The site is gone, not merely out of date.
  • Kingston Rotary Club publishes nothing. Its club diary reads “Sorry, no meetings or events have been added by the club”.
  • The display did not appear in any local listing for 2025 either.

If it returns, it will need a new website and a new safety approval. Neither has appeared.

Tolworth: the borough’s only recent display, and nothing announced for 2026

The one display actually held inside the borough last year was at Corinthian-Casuals Football Club, King George’s Field, Queen Mary Close, Tolworth, KT6 7NA. The club’s own event page gives the 2025 details: Sunday 2 November 2025, gates 4.30pm, fireworks at approximately 6.45pm, with a food court, funfair, inflatables, mulled wine and the clubhouse bar open all evening. Sparklers were not permitted.

For 2026 there is nothing:

  • The club’s website has no 2026 fireworks page. The 2025 page is still the only one, and it is still the only fireworks entry in the club’s sitemap.
  • The club’s Events page is blank apart from the heading.
  • On Ticketebo, where the club sold last year’s tickets, its organiser page says “This event organiser has no upcoming events at this time”, and the 2025 listing says “This event has ended”.

This is the display most likely to come back, because the club ran it last year and the ground is unchanged. We will update this page the day a date appears.

Confirmed near the borough: Epsom, Saturday 7 November

The nearest display with a firm 2026 date, and the closest thing Chessington and Tolworth readers have to a local one, is at Hook Road Arena, Chessington Road, Epsom, KT19 8QG, about two miles from Chessington South station.

Epsom Fireworks has it on Saturday 7 November 2026, gates open 5.30pm to 9.30pm. Its own booking page prices it:

All orders carry a £2.50 booking fee. There are only 100 premium tickets. The site states there is no onsite parking and a free park and ride service runs instead, and that no dogs are allowed.

Two more within reach, one of which we would not book yet

Imber Court, Ember Lane, East Molesey, KT8 0BT. The Metropolitan Police sports club’s fireworks page advertises 5 November, gates 4pm, last entry 6.15pm, fireworks 6.45pm, with under-2s free, children aged 2 to 15 at £6, adults at £12 and a family ticket for two adults and two children at £32.

Treat that as last year’s page until the club says otherwise. It carries no year at all, and its “book tickets here” button still points at the Skiddle listing for “Imber Court Fireworks 2025 … Wed 05 November 2025”, which now returns HTTP 410. The 2025 date was a Wednesday. In 2026 the 5th is a Thursday.

Sandown Park, Portsmouth Road, Esher, KT10 9AJ. The Jockey Club has run a fireworks night around Halloween in recent years. Nothing is published for 2026 yet.

Chessington World of Adventures does not do fireworks

It is worth saying plainly, because people search for it. The resort’s events page lists Howl’o’ween on selected dates from 3 October to 1 November 2026, from £34 a person, and a Christmas event on selected dates from 21 November to 24 December, from £32. Neither includes a fireworks display.

If you are setting off your own

Kingston Council’s bonfires and fireworks page sets out where the line sits. “It is not an offence to have a bonfire, but there are laws about the effects of smoke, smell and ash from bonfires.” A bonfire can be a statutory nuisance under the Environmental Protection Act if it affects neighbours. Burning treated wood, tyres, plastics, rubber and oil is illegal. The council also asks people to stop bonfires and barbecues entirely during a drought period.
